Production Update: Webisode 1

By now, you have all heard of the Mayan Apocalypse which is based on the end-date of a 5125-year-long cycle in the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar. Susan Milbrath, curator of Latin American Art and Archaeology at the Florida Museum of Natural History, stated that "We have no record or knowledge that [the Maya] would think the world would come to an end" in 2012."

"For the ancient Maya, it was a huge celebration to make it to the end of a whole cycle," says Sandra Noble, executive director of the Foundation for the Advancement of Mesoamerican Studies in Crystal River, Florida. A little known interpretation of this transition is that the date marks the start of time in which Earth and its inhabitants may undergo a positive physical or spiritual transformation, and that 21 December 2012 may mark the beginning of a new era.

What better way to engage in a spiritual transformation than by watching the first webisode of And Several Buthers' Aprons.
