Afghan asyum seeker Saliamin Akrami, 32, escaped persecution by the Taliban in his homeland, only to kill himself by urinating on a live rail, sending 600 volts shooting into the tip of his penis. Saliamin, who was living in Willesden, West London, convulsed and collapsed onto the rail on the 23rd of October in 1999.

Morbid Mortality Monthly - August

During an argument with his girlfriend, Brandon Julius Funches, a 21 year old from Los Angeles, drove his 2005 Dodge Magnum onto train tracks and stopped it as a high-speed Metrolink train approached his car.

According to initial reports, Brandon deliberately placed himself and his girlfriend, Michelle Wright, in the path of the train with the aim of killing them both. However, just before the 450-ton Metrolink hit the car at 128km/h, Brandon got out. As he fled, he was struck by flying debris from the smash, killing him instantly. Despite the Dodge being broken into so many pieces police initially could not identify the model of car, Michelle Wright miraculously survived the impact.
