In 2003, Frenchman Jean-Louis Toubon chocked to death after munching down on his girlfriend's edible underwear. Paramedics rushed to his home in Marseilles, but were unable to remove the saucy knickers from his throat.

Morbid Mortality Monthly - February
In July 1993, a 23 year old worker at a sweet factory in Marseilles was crushed to death when a bin containing more than 1,000 kilos of marshmallows accidentally emptied it's contents over him.
